Anna clinches title double in Bahrain ITF tennis

Anna Kislyak and Rashed Nawaf were crowned singles champions yesterday in the third and final Bahrain event on the International Tennis Federation (ITF) World Tennis Tour Juniors Calendar 2022, being played at the Bahrain Tennis Federation (BTF) courts in Isa Town.
Anna won the girls’ singles title after defeating Anna Perelman 6-0, 6-2 in their final while Rashed won the boys’ singles title after upsetting top seed Dmitry Bessonov 5-7, 6-3, 7-6 (5) in their decider. The results earned Anna a fantastic double in the tournament, after she also won the girls’ doubles title with her singles’ final opponent Perelman.
They defeated fourth seeds Vlada Kozak of Great Britain and Mille Johanna Moerk of Denmark 2-6, 6-3, 10-5 to clinch their championship.
Following the finals, the winners were presented their respective trophies by officials.
The tournament was a J4-level competition on the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors Calendar 2022. It followed two previous competitions held in the Kingdom, which were both at the J5 level.
The action took place over three successive weeks, with youngsters from all over the world competing.
