New facilities ideal for providing perfect environment for horses: HH Shaikh Nasser

When His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa promises, His Highness always keeps his word; evident to which when His Highness pledged to establish new stables for locals, in support of their efforts in breeding horses which are considered a historic element of the authentic Bahraini heritage, in addition to their participation in the development of equestrian sport in the Kingdom.
On this occasion, HH Shaikh Nasser, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, affirmed that the equestrian sport and horses are enjoying the support and close care of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa who always emphasises the importance of developing Bahraini thoroughbred horses.
HH Shaikh Nasser further added: “We are inspired by the giving and generosity of His Majesty the King of the Kingdom to develop the national strategies that contribute to supporting the equestrian sport in the Kingdom and strive towards upgrading its administrative and technical systems, in addition to providing modern and new facilities capable of housing horses in an ideal and distinguished environment.”
HH Shaikh Nasser stated: “It’s significant to support the stables of the locals and pave the way for an ideal environment for them as well as to encourage them to continue their efforts towards developing the equestrian sport and breed horses.
Therefore, we have been keen to establish several stables that include state-of-the-art facilities and put them at their disposal to maximise their role and appreciate their contributions. We have full confidence in them that they will continue giving their all.”
HH Shaikh Nasser congratulated on the inauguration of the new stables, praising all the sincere efforts exerted to complete this project, which carries with it noble goals for Bahrain’s historic heritage in the equestrian sport.
It is worth noting that HH inaugurated the stables in the presence of HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE) Vice President and Deputy Chairman of the High Authority of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club, Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, HE Shaikh Duaij bin Salman Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Horse Care Affairs Authority, and a number of other officials.
In this context, HH Shaikh Nasser has entrusted the Horse Care Affairs Authority with the management of the new facility, provided that these stables will be handed to the owners of the stables located in the Zallaq area.
Covering an area of 29,500 square meters, the new project will provide a home to 192 horses. It will also include a swimming pool, fodder warehouse, a Majlis, a treadmill to tame horses and many others.
