Najma power past Sitra in basketball league

Al Najma powered past Sitra 112-82 last night during their ninth week game in the 2022/2023 Zain Bahrain Basketball League.
Najma used a strong second-half showing to turn a 46-46 deadlock at the half to a lead of up to 32 points.
They outscored Sitra 66-36 in the last two periods to come away with the big win.
Nick Ward poured in 36 points to lead Najma to go with 10 rebounds, while Mohammed Hussain added 19 and Hussain Mohammed 17.
Ali Jaber chipped in with a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds for Najma, who improved to a 3-4 win-loss record.
For Sitra, Malik Wineglass had 32 points as their leading scorer, while Ali Jawad Salman, Ali Eid and Mahdi Abdulameer had 12 markers apiece.
Sitra went to a 3-5 mark on the league standings. Tonight, one game remains in week nine with Al Ettihad facing Nuwaidrat at 7.30pm.
