Manama dominate against Ahli in basketball league

Defending champions Manama outclassed arch-nemesis Al Ahli 100-79 last night in their week 11 game of the 2022/2023 Zain Bahrain Basketball League.
Manama raced out to a commanding 28-17 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back.
They went ahead by as many as 25 points the rest of the way en route to handing Ahli their first loss of the season.
Prolific young guard Mustafa Hussain scored a game-high 30 points off the bench to spearhead Manama, burying six three-pointers in the process.
American professional Elijah Robinson added 22 points while Ahmed Aldurazi chipped in with 18 and Ahmed Najaf had 15.
Lenny Daniel was Ahli’s top scorer with 24, while Mohammed Kowayed and Hesham Sarhan each contributed 18 points.
Manama improved to a league-best 8-1 win-loss record in first place on the standings.
Ahli stayed close behind in second with a 7-1 mark.
League action continues tonight with Al Najma facing Isa Town at 5.30pm followed by Samaheej playing Nuwaidrat at 7.30pm.
Tomorrow, Sitra and Al Ettihad clash in the lone fixture at 7.30pm.
