Stage set for National Day Endurance Championship

Preparations are in a full swing to hold the annual National Day Endurance Championship. The race will be held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (Breef ) Honorary Chairman.
Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (Breef ) is organising the much-awaited race, supported by the Labour Fund (Tamkeen). The pre-race vet examination will be held tomorrow, Friday, at the Bahrain International Endurance Village.
The championship features two local races covering respectively 100 and 120 kilometres, a 160-kilometre international race. Two other local qualifying races covering 40 and 80 kilometres have also been scheduled. Breef Secretary-General Ghalib Al Alawi stressed the importance of the championship, amid celebrations marking the National Day and the anniversary of HM the King’s Accession.
