Royal Endurance Team captain hails Victorious’ win in National Day Endurance Championship

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Captain of the Royal Endurance Team, led the 160km race yesterday as part of the National Day Endurance Championship, organised by Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF).
HH Shaikh Nasser set the pace in the event and clocked a time of seven hours, 43 minutes and 52 seconds.
The National Day ride featured wide participation, and the day also included a 120km local race which was won by the Victorious Team.
Present at the event was HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of BREEF.
Commenting on the results, HH Shaikh Nasser affirmed that the great performances showcased in the races are very important for all the jockeys and stables, especially as this championship is among the most significant ones for all the participants, given the fact that it coincides with Bahrain’s celebrations to mark National Day and HM the King’s Accession to the Throne.
Moreover, HH Shaikh Nasser praised the efforts exerted by BREEF, under the presidency of HH Shaikh Isa, towards organising the event. Additionally, Shaikh Nasser expressed happiness at the Victorious Team’s win in the 120km local race.
Abdullah Al Ruwaie claimed first place with a time of 4:15:19. He was followed by his Victorious teammate Isa Al Enzi (4:31:57), while Asem Janahi of Al Zaeem Team (04:38:57) came third.
Following the race, the winners were honoured by HH Shaikh Isa.
