The much-anticipated Arabian MMA celebration is just one day away as 16 athletes took to the scales in the ‘fight before the fight’ at the BRAVE CF 67 official weigh-ins in Riffa, Bahrain.
Fifteen fighters successfully made weight as a main-event athlete, and BRAVE CF Super Lightweight champion Eldar Eldarov (Bahrain) failed to meet the required limit of 79.8 kilograms ahead of his Super Welterweight bout against Belarus’ Denis Maher (79.2 kilograms).
Bahrain’s Eldarov stepped onto the scale with an 80.6-kilogram reading and will now forfeit 30% of his fight purse which will go to Maher.
The co-main event bout is confirmed, as France’s Yannis Ghemmouri (66.1 kilograms) and Russia’s Bair Shtepin (65.7 kilograms) looked healthy when they checked in for their Featherweight bout.
The high-profile fight between Egypt’s Olympian Mahmoud Sebie (75.1 kilograms) and Tunisia’s Wajdi Missaoui (74.1 kilograms) is locked and loaded, as the two warriors will make their BRAVE CF debut in a Super Lightweight bout.
BRAVE CF 67 takes place tomorrow in the penultimate event on the 2022 BRAVE CF calendar that will showcase the next generation of Arab athletes coming through.
Athletes from Egypt, Tunisia, Iran, and Algeria will fight for lucrative contracts in a special closed show for BRAVE TV. For more information, visit www.bravecf.com.
