BRAVE CF 68 - in association with partners NFC (National Fighting Championship) - was the culmination of a groundbreaking year for BRAVE Combat Federation as the final event on the 2022 BRAVE CF calendar breathed new life into European MMA at the Maritim Hotel Hall in Dusseldorf, Germany.

In the main event of the evening, Joilton ‘’Peregrino” Lutterbach once again proved why he might very well be the most dangerous man in BRAVE CF when he delivered a devastating TKO win over number-two ranked Super Lightweight Mihail Cotruta in the first round.

Lutterbach came out with his signature power jab, followed by powerful right crosses that hurt Cotruta early on.

At one stage, Cotruta did well to counter with a flurry of punches, but it was not enough to rattle the composed and accurate Lutterbach, who was impeccable with his timing and efficacy.

With just under two minutes to go in the first round, Lutterbach unleashed a hook from hell that sent Cotruta straight to the canvas before finishing the Moldovan with his well-guided ground and pound.

Due to Lutterbach not making weight, he was ineligible for the interim Super Lightweight title, but after another impressive finish inside the BRAVE CF cage, he begged that the BRAVE CF matchmakers give him the undisputed champion, Eldar Eldarov next.

“I had fun tonight. It was a good fight for me. All my respect to Mihail. He is truly a tough guy, but tonight was my night. I hope I can fight for the title next,” said Lutterbach.

“Eldar, I wish you a good recovery for your shoulder.

I hope you can get better soon so that we can make the fight happen. Thank you to all who came to support me. I am so happy and so blessed.

All I want next is the BRAVE CF title fight next,” added Lutterbach. The co-main event delivered a brilliant coming-out-party performance by Belarus’ Vadim Kutsyi, as he pulled out a humdinger performance to stop Austria’s Ismail Naurdiev via TKO in their Super Welterweight bout.

Naurdiev gained the ascendancy early on with devastating leg attacks that hurt his opponent - who seemed fragile on his back foot.

At one stage, Naurdiev rocked Kutsyi but the Belarusian was held up by the fence as he fell backward.

Kutsyi then responded with an explosive right hook which immediately dropped the Austrian before Kutsy reigned down a ground and pound, to which the referee called a stop in the first round.

Switzerland’s Husein Kadimagomaev and Azerbaijan’s Agshin Babayev finally squashed their beef after two fight cancellations as the Swiss submitted his opponent in the third round of their Lightweight bout.

The fight almost ended in controversy again when Babayev landed an unintentional illegal knee to his grounded opponent, but Kadimagomaev and the BRAVE CF medical staff were happy to see the fight continue.

Both fighters negated each other’s high-level grappling and wrestling for the first two rounds. It took a split-second mistake from Babayev to allow Kadimagomaev to sink in a deep guillotine choke close to the end of their three-round fight.

The opening fight on the main card saw Axel Sola hand Matheus Miranda his first professional loss as the Frenchman stopped the Brazilian via TKO in the second round of their 77-kg Catchweight bout.

BRAVE CF broke new ground earlier this year when BRAVE CF 61 in Bonn, Germany put BRAVE Combat Federation on top of the list of most-traveled organizations in the sport, as Germany was the 28th nation to host a BRAVE CF event.

For 2023, the organization is setting even more ambitious goals as it looks to continue to build on a historic 2022. For more information on plans for the new year, visit www.bravecf.com.
