Najma come from behind to defeat Ettihad

Al Najma edged past Al Ettihad 94-91 last night in their week 14 contest in the 2022/2023 Zain Bahrain Basketball League.
Najma battled back from a 70-76 deficit heading into the final period, outscoring Ettihad 24-15 to come away with the come-from-behind result.
An Abdulrahman Ghali layup with just under a minute remaining put Najma ahead by six and virtually iced the game. Mohammed Hussain scored 29 points to lead Najma while Mohamed Almajed added 20 and Ghali scored 17.
Hussain Shaker chipped in with 16. For Ettihad, Adrian Uter had 27 points and 20 rebounds to spearhead his team. Sayed Mohammed Hameed contributed 20 in the loss.
With the result, Najma improved to a 5-6 win-loss record while Ettihad dropped to an 8-4. League action continues tonight with defending champions Manama facing Nuwaidrat and Bahrain Club taking on Sitra. Tomorrow, Al Ahli lock horns with Isa Town.
