Manama overpower Nuwaidrat in basketball league

Manama roared past Nuwaidrat 76-60 last night in their week 14 game of the 2022/2023 Zain Bahrain Basketball League.
The defending champions held a slim 21-17 lead at the end of the first quarter but then were able to distance themselves from their opponents in the second, outscoring Nuwaidrat 26-11 to go up 47-28 at the break.
They did not look back from there, going ahead by as many as 23 points.
American professional amonte Ulmer top scored for the victors with 22 points, while Hasan Nowropz added 15 and Ahmed Najaf had 12.
Canadian Keanau Post had 18 for Nuwaidrat while Hassan Abbas contributed 14 in the losing effort.
Manama improved to a league-leading 12-1 win-loss record while Nuwaidrat dropped to a 5-8 mark.
League action continues tonight with just one game on schedule. Al Ahli lock horns with Isa Town at 6pm.
