The competition continues to heat up in the 2022/2023 Bahrain Drag Racing Championship as the season reaches its midway point with the third round this week at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir.
The four-day, action-packed meeting is scheduled to kick off today and tomorrow night with back-to-back evenings of Test and Tune, after which Qualifying will be held on Thursday.
“The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East” will then host Race Day on Friday with plenty of intense racing down BIC’s world-class quarter-mile drag strip, a member of the prestigious Worldwide Network of the US-based National Hot Rod Association (NHRA).
The championship has witnessed two exciting rounds to date with huge turnouts each time, and all signs are pointing towards even more thrills and tighter battles in the 13 classes for both cars and bikes.
All are welcome to attend this week’s events and enjoy the region’s biggest and best drag racing series.
Tickets are available at the gate or online at bahraingp.com.
Tickets cost BD3 for the Batelco Grandstand for Qualifying and Race Day.
For each night of Test and Tune, tickets are BD2 for the Batelco Grandstand.
Test and Tune will be held between 6pm and midnight on the two nights, while racing will begin from 4pm on Qualifying and Race Day.
The 2022/2023 Bahrain Drag Racing Championship continues until February.
Following this week’s round, the fourth and penultimate meet will take place from 31 January to 3 February.
That will then pave the way for the season-finale from 21 to 24 February.
