HH Shaikh Nasser gives directives to prepare well for ‘HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Endurance Championship’

The Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) will organise the “Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Endurance Championship” at the Bahrain International Endurance Village on Friday and Tuesday.

The event is held based on the directives from HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, the Honorary President of the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF), HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, under the patronage of the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, General Sports Authority Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

Sponsored by the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) is sponsoring the event, along with Ascon, the championship will feature international and local races, with the wide participation of stables and riders.

In this regard, BREEF will receive entries for all categories until Tuesday.

On the occasion, HH Shaikh Nasser expressed appreciation for the prominent efforts exerted by HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad to boost the endurance sports in Bahrain, noting that HH’s support for stables and riders will result in a fierce competition among the participants to reach the podium.

HH Shaikh Nasser asserted that the Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Endurance Championship has always been an important event in which jockeys compete and perform well, adding that it provides a platform to discover youth talents that will be able to represent the kingdom at various external gatherings.

HH Shaikh Nasser indicated that last year’s edition saw strong and open competition among riders and stables, noting that this year’s championship will be successful, given the high level of the participants.

He also wished all participating stables and jockeys every success. HH Shaikh Nasser gave directives to BREEF to prepare well for the championship to ensure its success.
