Strong competition in back-to-back days of races at REHC

Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) hosts back-to-back days of exciting races this weekend. Eight races are scheduled to take place today, headlined by a pair of Bahrain Jewellery Centre Cups, while tomorrow nine races will be taking place with a Montreal Motors Co.

SPC Cup on offer in the feature event. The Bahrain Jewellery Centre Cups will be up for grabs in today’s seventh and eighth races. In race eight, to be held over nine furlongs with a BD3,000 prize, nine imported horses are entered for top owners such as Al Mohamediya Racing, Abdulla Fawzi Nass and MKAR Racing.

Race seven will see locally bred contenders battling it out over eight furlongs, also with a BD3,000 prize. Also on the cards today are two Porsche Cups in races five and six, and the Fatees Al Hajeri Cup in race one.

On tomorrow’s programme, the main race for the Montreal Motors Co. SPC Cup will be held over five furlongs with a BD3,000 prize. Seven imported entries will be challenging for the victory, with leading owners in the fray including Al Mohamediya, Al Adiyat Racing, Al Afoo Racing and Y&A Racing, among others. A second Montreal Motors Co. SPC Cup is also to be won in the day’s second race, while an REHC Cup will be up for the taking in race seven.
