Ahli power past Samaheej in basketball league

Al Ahli overpowered Samaheej 116-71 last night in their week 16 game of the 2022/2023 Zain Bahrain Basketball League.
Ahli went ahead 27-13 at the end of the first quarter and never wavered, outscoring their rivals in each period and closing strong with a 34-13 final canto.
Ahli led by as many as 47 points in the contest. Maitham Jameel led six players in double figures for the victors with 22 points, including six three-pointers.
Subah Hussain came off the bench to contribute 19, while American professional Lenny Daniel added 18, Mohammed Kowayed had 17 and Ali Aqeel scored 14.
Hesham Sarhan had 10 points. Basel Adel top scored for Samaheej while Salah Naser had 14. With the result, Ahli improved to an 11-3 win-loss record, while Samaheej dropped o a 2-13 mark.
