Head-to-head battles set to intensify in Bahrain Drag Racing Championship at BIC

The fourth and penultimate round of the 2022/2023 Bahrain Drag Racing Championship is taking place this week at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), with plenty to fight for amongst the competitors lining up at BIC’s world-class, quarter-mile strip.

Following the cancellation of the previous meeting due to heavy rain, the battles for all-important championship points have intensified with the season headed for a grand finale.

Two nights of Test and Tune have kicked off the action on Tuesday and Wednesday night at “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East”.

Qualifying will be held Thursday (Editor’s note: 12 January), to be followed by Race Day tomorrow.

The Bahrain Drag Racing Championship has attracted participants from all over the world, competing in 13 classes for both cars and motorbikes.

They are to go head-to-head on the BIC strip, which is a member of the prestigious Worldwide Network of the US-based National Hot Rod Association (NHRA).

All are welcome to attend this week’s events and enjoy the region’s biggest and best drag racing series.

Tickets are available at the gate or online at bahraingp.com.

Tickets cost BD3 for the Batelco Grandstand for Qualifying and Race Day.

Action will begin from 4pm on Thursday and from 1pm on Friday.

Following this week’s round, the 2022/2023 Bahrain Drag Racing Championship will culminate with the fifth and final meeting from 31 January to 3 February.
