HH Shaikh Khalid hails showjumping technical progress ahead of Championship

First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa said that show jumping in the Kingdom has become one of the advanced sports.

Show jumping has been witnessing wide participation in multiple competitions, as it has begun to gain wider technical dimensions among riders and horses, he added.

HH Shaikh Khalid pointed to the successes and results achieved by the show jumping competitions both locally and internationally in line with the plans, programs and aspirations of the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) to reach the highest levels.

The jumping competitions have highlighted the aptitudes of many young sports talents and the presence of a wide base of practitioners of this sport.

BREEF will rely on such capacities to build a solid base of good riders to represent Bahrain in various tournaments and championships and to confirm the ability of the Bahraini riders to jump forward with distinction, he added.

HH Shaikh Khalid commended the great efforts of the Federation, headed by HH shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to develop equestrian sports in general and show jumping in particular in the Kingdom, citing its numerous successes.

His Highness also urged the riders and participants in His Highness championship to be held on Saturday to achieve their best levels in all competitions and wished them success.
