F1 stars Norris, Sainz Jr take part in BIC golf day

Formula 1 superstars Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz Jr took part in a golf day yesterday organised by Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) at the Royal Golf Club.
Several team members and officials from the F1 community also took part in the event, which ended with a prize-giving ceremony attended by BIC chief executive Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The Kingdom is getting all geared up to host the F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2023 this Friday to Sunday in Sakhir.
BIC hosted three-days of F1 pre-season testing last week.
Some of F1’s star drivers have chosen to remain in Bahrain after the tests leading up to the grand prix, while others have travelled elsewhere before their scheduled return in time for the race weekend.
The on-track action begins on Friday and culminates on Sunday with the 57- lap F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, which this year marks the 19th edition of the Kingdom’s race and the 10th time it is being held under lights.
The event is the first of 23 rounds in the 2023 FIA F1 World Championship.
