Bahrain to hold celebration marking 500 days ahead of Paris Olympics

The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) is set to organise a sporting event in cooperation with the French Embassy on March 14 to celebrate 500 days before the opening of the Olympic Games in Paris next year.
This was discussed when BOC secretary-general Faris Al Kooheji received French Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Jerome Cauchard at the BOC offices in Seef.
Al Kooheji praised the Bahraini-French relations and the constant development both countries are experiencing in various fields.
Al Kooheji stressed the importance of strengthening relations between Bahrain and France in sport, and seeking to exchange expertise and experiences for the development of the sports movement in both nations.
At the end of their meeting, Al Kooheji presented a commemorative shield from the BOC to Ambassador Cauchard, who was accompanied by embassy officials.
