While excitement galore both off track and on track, many told The Daily Tribune that they might hesitate to bring their children over concerns about the potential harm that the high-decibel sounds could cause to their young ones’ ears.
During the first two days of a Formula 1 event, which include practice and qualifying sessions, the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) provides a variety of colourful children’s attractions that are integral to family entertainment.
Fun Formula
Many parents said they opt to bring their children to enjoy the carnival rides, games, performances, and fun activities during these days. However, they take precautions to arrive early to avoid exposure to loud noises.
Some parents had even gone the extra mile to protect their children’s hearing by having them wear both earplugs and earmuffs to reduce the risk of noise-induced hearing damage. Speaking to The Daily Tribune, Princy, the mother of a nine-year-old, said: “We are excited, of course, but mostly my kid wants to enjoy the rides.
Obviously, I am concerned about the noise, and that’s why I have come very early so that my kids can enjoy the entertainment side of Formula 1.” Ogly Ghali, a Russian-born influencer and mother, said: “The first day of the event proved to be a great opportunity for children to enjoy the festivities.
It seems that many mothers opted to bring their children on this day to avoid the busier crowds on the second and third days. I think, youngsters should take advantage of the nice weather, sun, and entertaining activities.
Tracks quite loud
While Formula 1 racing is geared primarily towards adults, I avoid the tracks for they are quite loud, and we can’t always wear earplugs. That is why we have been gathered here near the entertainment area since 10 am.
“For the past seven years, I have been a regular attendee of Formula 1 races, and I have always enjoyed the thrilling spectacle of the race. Today, I am here to provide my child with a fun and entertaining experience to their enjoyment.”
Herly said, “As a resident of Dubai, this is my first time attending a Formula 1 event, and I’m thrilled to be able to attend all three days of the event. Going to such events is always a pleasant experience, but as a mother, I’m especially excited to ensure children have the best possible time.”
She continued, “I want my child to have a one-of-a-kind experience, but I’m a little concerned because I just arrived, and I can already hear loud car noises.” “The best choice would be to purchase a headset for my child as this is his first time, and undoubtedly he is not used to such loud noise.
I want him to have fun as much as we adults do. I am impressed by the numerous activities available for children, and the event is not solely focused on race, making it enjoyable for people of all ages.
