Time Step lifts Late Shaikh Rashid Cup at REHC

Time Step lifted the Late Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Cup yesterday in the main race at Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) in Sakhir.
Saddled by Abdulla Faisal, the Al Adiyat Racing-owned, AM Smith-trained four-yearold won the seven-furlong race in one minute 22.707 seconds to claim the lion’s share of the BD3,000 prize.
Modmin was the runner-up for HBR Racing, Khalid Al Khatri and Ebrahim Nader, while Royal Scimitar came third for Al Mohamediya Racing, Hesham Al Haddad and Neil Callan.
Meanwhile, Tartan Chief won the REHC Cup, held over 14 furlongs with a BD3,000 prize.
Tartan Chief completed the race in 3:01.394 for Al Mohamediya, Ali Abdulmajeed and Callan.
King of the Throne was second for Al Afoo Racing, Mohammed Hasan and Soufiane Saadi, while third came Rollajam for Victorious, Hesham Al Haddad and Stephane Ladjadj.
