Abdulqader claims grand prize in Nasser bin Hamad Show Jumping Championship

Mohammed Abdulqader has emerged victorious in the Nasser bin Hamad Show Jumping Championship, held at the Military Sports Federation in Al Raffah under the patronage of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Honourary President of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF).
The event drew a large audience, who witnessed some intense competitions. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa praised the thrilling showdowns and congratulated the winners of the event, saying the high level of performances reflects the extent of development show jumping is witnessing in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Mahmood Abdulqader claimed the Championship’s grand prize in a faultless performance that featured 135/145cm hurdles, posting a time of 52.39 seconds.
He was followed by Haytham Al Bastaki of the Ministry of Interior, who finished in 57.23 seconds, and Mayoof Al Rumaihi, who came third in 61.14 seconds.
HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of BREEF and the board members of the Federation crowned the top three winners.
In addition to the main competition, the Championship also featured three other contests for senior athletes.
Mayoof Al Rumaihi won the first and second positions in the third contest, which saw participants jumping over 105/115cm hurdles.
Al Rumaihi also emerged victorious in the fourth competition, which included 115/125cm hurdles, while veteran athlete Sami Ghazwan continued his dominance of the joker hurdle contest, winning it with a time of 53.68 seconds and 65 points.
