More than a thousand spectators, many of whom were Filipinos, cheered for the PBA All-Star Legends during their friendly basketball match against the Bahrain National Basketball Team recently held at the Khalifa Sports City Stadium in Isa Town.

Philippine Embassy officials led by Chargé d’ Affaires, a.i. Anne Jalando-on Louis, as well as HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and Bahrain Basketball Association executives, attended the game’s opening ceremony.

CDA Louis expressed her gratitude to HH Shaikh Isa, the Bahrain Basketball Association, and the pertinent Bahraini government entities for making the goodwill game possible.

The team of Philippine PBA All-Star Legends comprised Team Coach Allan Caidic, Gherome Ejercito, Roger Yap Jr., John Ferriols, Cyrus Baguio, Ejay Fiehl, Sunday Salvacion, JJ Heltherbrand, Marc Pingris, and Rico Mairhofer.

Even though Bahrain’s National Basketball Team won the game, the enthusiastic crowd continued to chant “PBA Legends!” towards the conclusion of the game.

After three years, the Pinoy Bahrain Basketball League (PBBL), under the direction of its President, Daryll Soriano, organised the 10th Philippines-Bahrain Charity Basketball Game once more in Bahrain.
