Celebration held marking 500 days before Paris Olympics

The French Embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in cooperation with the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities and the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), held a celebration yesterday at Bahrain Fort in Seef marking the occasion of 500 days before the opening of the Olympic Games in Paris next year.
French Ambassador to Bahrain Jerome Cauchard was on hand, as was BOC secretary-general Faris Al Kooheji and a number of other officials from the embassy, the authority and the BOC, along with sports figures and students nominated by the Ministry of Education.
Among the activities that took place were exhibitions in the sport of taekwondo, fencing and table tennis, while participants enjoyed a walk around the fort before taking photographs with the Olympic rings and the mascot of the Paris Olympics.
