HH Shaikh Nasser leads 40km children’s race

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Captain of the Royal Endurance team, participated in the children’s race which featured His Highness’ children, including HH Shaikh Sheema bint Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HH Shaikh Hamad bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The race was part of the Nasser bin Hamad Endurance Championship, organised by Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF), and sponsored by Bapco, Bahrain Jewellery Centre and Technogym.
HH Shaikh Nasser was keen to lead the participants in the 40km race.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa underlined that this race comes as part of the plan set out to encourage the new generation to practice this historic sport in order to help them hone their skills and develop their capabilities.
HH Shaikh Nasser hailed the wide participation in this race which underscores the popularity of this sport in Bahrain.
His Highness crowned his children who participated in the race as well as several participants.
The main race of the Championship will take place today, covering a distance of 120km and is expected to see enormous participation.
