The Bahrain Football Association (BFA) held yesterday the official technical meeting for tomorrow’s final in the 2022/2023 His Majesty the King’s Cup football tournament.
The gathering took place at the BFA headquarters in Riffa.
It was chaired by BFA secretary general Rashid Al Zoubi, with officials from finalists Al Ahli and Al Hala and the BFA in attendance.
At the meeting, the technical, organisational and administrative procedures were discussed and the uniforms of both teams were confirmed, with Ahli playing in yellow and Hala in white.
The HM the King’s Cup is the richest football competition in the Kingdom, with BD100,000 going to the champions and BD50,000 to the runners-up.
The final is scheduled to be played tomorrow night at the Khalifa Sports City Stadium in Isa Town with an 8.45pm kickoff.
Ahli booked their berth in the final with a thrilling 4-1 penalty shootout victory over defending league champions Riffa last February, with the match deadlocked at 2-2 after extra-time.
Hala, on the other hand, scraped through to the title match after defeating current league leaders Manama 2-1 in extra-time.
Khaldiya were the HM the King’s Cup winners from last season, having defeated East Riffa in the final. Tomorrow’s game will see a number of prizes being handed out to fans in attendance.
