Bahrain non-movers on FIFA World Ranking

Bahrain’s senior men’s national football team were non-movers in 85th in the latest edition of the FIFA World Ranking for Men, released yesterday by global football’s governing body.
The nationals had a marginal increase of 1.78 ranking points to go to 1282.05 on the fresh classification of international squads.
They were 13th amongst teams in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and fifth from the six GCC nations, behind Saudi Arabia (54th), Qatar (61st), the UAE (72nd) and Oman (73rd), but ahead of Kuwait (143rd).
Japan topped the AFC sides in 20th, followed by Iran in 24th and South Korea in 27th in the world. FIFA World Cup champions Argentina were top, followed in the top 10 by France, Brazil, Belgium, England, the Netherlands, Croatia, Italy, Portugal and Spain.
