Shahbaz Bader shines as Bahrain dominates Singapore

Bahrain has made a strong start in the ACC Men’s Premier Cup, defeating Singapore by a whopping 132 runs in their opening match on Thursday in Nepal.
Winning the toss, Bahrain elected to bat first and opened with a masterful performance from Shahbaz Bader, who scored an impressive 76 runs off 98 balls and was awarded the Man of the Match title.
Fiaz Ahmed also contributed significantly to the innings with a 79 off 59 balls score.
Bahrain’s bowlers were equally impressive, with Imran Anwar picking up four wickets for only 24 runs in nine overs and Rizwan Butt taking three wickets.
Abdul Majid and Ali Dawood claimed two and one wicket, respectively.
The Asian Cricket Council Premier Cup features 10 of the best-emerging teams in the region competing in 50-over action in Nepal.
The tournament serves as the final step in the qualification process for the Asia Cup 2023. Bahrain is grouped with Hong Kong, Kuwait, Singapore, and UAE, while Oman, Qatar, Malaysia, and Saudi Arabia are in Group A with the hosts, Nepal.
Bahrain will face off against Kuwait on April 24th at 6:45 am local time in hopes of continuing its winning streak and advancing to the semifinal round to earn a spot in the finals and qualify for the Asia Cup 2023.
