Don Guillermo’s Cup 2023 basketball tournament kicks off

A colourful parade of participating teams and an exciting opening game commenced the 45th Season 1st Conference of Don Guillermo’s Cup of the Filipino Club Basketball Group (FCBG) at the Muharraq Club Gym, Arad, Kingdom of Bahrain.
Philippine Embassy Charge d’ Affaires Ann Jalando-on Louis graced the opening ceremony with leaders and representatives of Filipino community.
Six games were played after the opening ceremony to officially mark the leagues opening. A total of 27 teams are expected to join the league including four teams from the kids under 12 years age group.
FCBG and its core officials extended their sincere gratitude to all the participating teams, JC Tambayan, Tia Betty’s, Hopscotch, Ramenara, Starbucks, Master Jun’s Angels, Texas Roadhouse, F & B Young Bloods, JG Interiors, Verminex, Adliya Revolt, Union Press, Zenjex, Ultimate Hoops, BMMI, Dabarkadz, Tigbas Chongs To Go, PhilBah, City Landscaping, Santy Excavation, Astig, Verminexnd BFC.
Games will be played every Fridays at the Muharraq Club Gym.
Aside from hosting basketball tournaments for Filipinos in Bahrain, FCBG takes pride in its strong programme aimed at engaging Filipino youth in basketball sport.
