Abdulghaffar appointed Bahrain’s Chef de Mission for Asian Games

The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) announced yesterday Ahmed Abdulghaffar as the Chef de Mission of the Kingdom’s delegation to the Hangzhou Asian Games.

The multi-sport event is scheduled to take place between September 23 to October 8 in China.

Abdulghaffar was assigned by the BOC board of directors, headed by Supreme Council for Youth and Sports first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority president and BOC chief His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa. Abdulghaffar affirmed the confidence of HH Shaikh Khalid in carrying out the tasks and roles entrusted to him in the coming period.

He also extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to HH Shaikh Khalid, BOC vice-president His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and BOC secretary general Faris Al Kooheji.

Abdulghaffar said that he is looking forward to taking care of his responsibilities and working with a strong team spirit within the delegation.

He stressed that he will work with Bahrain’s delegation members to best prepare the Kingdom’s athletes for the Hangzhou Asian Games.
