HH Shaikh Khalid to lead Royal Endurance Team in Spain ride

First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, General Sports Authority Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, will today lead the Royal Endurance Team in an international ride in Spain, which will consist of 160km and 120km races with the participation of riders from around the world.

HH Shaikh Khalid affirmed that equestrian horseracing enjoys high attention and patronage of His Majesty the King, which contributes to the Royal Endurance Team’s rise in the sport.

HH Shaikh Khalid spearheaded the team’s training yesterday amidst high morale amongst the squad, who will be looking to write new successes for Bahraini endurance horseracing.

HH Shaikh Khalid also followed the veterinary examinations yesterday in the event’s village as well as in the weigh-in of the participating riders.

HH Shaikh Khalid will be competing in the 160km event alongside Royal Endurance Team riders Raed Mahmoud and Othman Al Awadi, while the 120km race will be competed in by Salman Issa, Manal Fakhrawi, Issa Al Anzi, Ahmed Al Thawadi, Sultan Al Rumaihi and Abdulla Al Ruwaie.
