Bahraini-British motor racing team 2 Seas Motorsport are set to compete this weekend in the 2023 Intelligent Money British GT Championship at Snetterton Circuit in Norfolk, the UK.

The meeting marks the season’s half-distance, with a pair of 60-minute sprint races taking centre stage tomorrow.

2 Seas, co-owned by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, will be hitting the track in their pair of Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo contenders, with James Cottingham and Jonny Adam in the #4 car and Ian Loggie and Jules Gounon in the #1.

This weekend’s action will mark the fifth and sixth races of the campaign, and each will be featuring a 35-car entry.

Tomorrow’s first race flags off at 1.25pm followed by the second at 6.20pm.

Today, there will be two practice sessions and qualifying.

2 Seas head into Snetterton as leaders in the GT3 Teams Championship standings with 144.5 points, well ahead of their closest challengers at Century Motorsport who are on 68.5 points.

Cottingham and Adam are also in tied-first place in the GT3 Drivers Championship with 76 points apiece, while Loggie and Gounon are tied-second along with Century’s Darren Leung and Dan Harper with 68.5 points each.

Furthermore, Cottingham and Adam top the GT3 ProAm standings with 80.5 points apiece, followed by Loggie and Gounon at 71.5 markers each.

2 Seas will be looking to continue their fine form this weekend, having won three of the four races held so far in the British GT season.

The opening victory for Cottingham and Adam at Oulton Park was followed by Loggie and Gounon winning the weekend’s second race at the same venue.

They then claimed the team’s third win at Donington Park, after finishing seventh and 11th overall in round three in Silverstone.

The 2023 British GT campaign features nine rounds in all.

Following this weekend’s action, the series will be heading to Autodromo do Algarve in Portugal on July 22 and 23 for its only round outside of the UK.

The championship will then race at Brands Hatch on September 9 and 10, and then at Donington Park again for the season-finale on October 21 and 22.
