HH Shaikh Nasser hails HH Shaikh Khalid’s efforts

His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports commended the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee and the working party, praising the accomplishments made recently by the Bahraini clubs, including the first-place victory of Manama Club in the West Asia Super League and Al Najma Club’s triumph in the 25th Asian Men’s Club League Handball Championship.

HH Shaikh Nasser’s remarks came while chairing the first meeting of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports after its restructuring, in the presence of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Their Highnesses and Excellencies members of the Council.

At the beginning of the meeting, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa welcomed the new members, congratulating them on their appointment to the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and wishing them all success in their national mission.

His Highness also thanked the previous council members who performed their duties to the fullest and contributed to the development of the youth and sports sectors.

His Highness praised the National Youth Empowerment Strategy, which covered the most important pillars of youth work and priorities aimed at developing the role of young people through a number of projects that sharpen their skills.

His Highness hailed the new “Masari” (My Path) project, which provides promising opportunities for young people to learn, increase their knowledge, find job opportunities for youth, and support the education system in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Besides, His Highness explained the details of the project and the participating countries in the student exchange and educational missions for young people.

The council was briefed on the latest developments of the existing projects of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, which will be implemented during the current period, especially the Youth City 2030 project, honouring the contributors and participants in the project.

It also reviewed the project’s details, the identity of the city, and the workshops that will be organised for the young people of the two categories benefiting from the project.
