Bidzina eager to follow the footsteps of BRAVE CF Georgian stars Ilia Topuria and Guram Kutateladze

Bidzina Gavashelishvili is standing on the shoulders of giants as he looks to establish himself as the next big thing at Flyweight, following a very successful promotional debut at BRAVE CF 72, last Friday.

By earning a tremendous unanimous decision against the previously undefeated Muhammad Idrisov, Gavashelishvili became the first Georgian fighter to win a BRAVE CF bout since a historic night for the country in November 2019.

At BRAVE CF 29, Guram Kutateladze and Ilia Topuria earned violent knockouts and were announced as future superstars of the sport in one of BRAVE CF’s biggest-ever shows.

Ilia Topuria was signed by BRAVE CF earlier in the year and had a huge finish in his first outing, beating Luis Gomez by submission at BRAVE CF 26.

He came into the Goncalves fight looking to showcase a different side to his game.

Then known as a submission artist, Topuria had been developing his KO power in training and it was the first time his world-class boxing was truly on show.

He brutally knocked out Steven in the first round and became a superstar overnight. Guram Kutateladze had a very impressive first fight at BRAVE CF, in Abu Dhabi, when he beat Brazil’s Erick da Silva by unanimous decision.

And it was another Brazilian that would fall to his heavy hands at BRAVE CF 29 – ‘’The Georgian Viking’’ was wobbled by a Felipe Silva shot early on in their Lightweight showdown but kept his wits and unleashed a hail mary left hook that separated Felipe from his senses.

Now Bidzina is hoping to produce a similar type of performance following the beating of a rising superstar in Idrisov, and has called out for a title shot at 125 pounds, saying he’s ready to become the number one Flyweight in the world.
