Bogota, Colombia is in for a treat when BRAVE Combat Federation lands in the capital for the first time in nearly four years in association with Latin Fighter Championship.

The fight card for BRAVE CF 73 will feature some of the top names in the world of MMA and will be headlined by the first-ever world title fight taking place in Colombia. Jose ‘’Shorty’’ Torres takes on Nkosi Ndebele for the vacant Bantamweight championship, as was announced by BRAVE CF president Mohammed Shahid during the BRAVE CF 71 broadcast.

After impressing as a Flyweight but having trouble making weight, American IMMAF world champion Torres made the permanent move to Bantamweight and was victorious in his 135-pound debut, as he dominated Izzedine Al-Derbani en route to a unanimous decision victory.

‘’Shorty’’ is one of the finest lighter weight fighters in the world, having become the first-ever two-time IMMAF world champion, and following that up with double-weight champion status at Titan FC.

At BRAVE CF, he has yet to be defeated, beating Amir Albazi and Blaine O’Driscoll and fighting Sean Santella to a draw in the Flyweight division, before moving up to beat Al-Derbani and earn his date against Ndebele.

Nkosi has spent his entire professional career with BRAVE CF, having made his pro debut on the back of a historic amateur career, which saw him be widely perceived as pound-for-pound the best amateur fighter in Africa.

‘’The Future’’ is undefeated at Bantamweight with his only loss coming against jiu-jitsu black belt Caio Gregorio in a Featherweight fight. At 135 pounds, Ndebele has beaten Ian Cleary, Zia Mashwani, Abdelmoumen Msaate, and Fajar.

Before losing to Gregorio, he made his pro debut against Ahmed Farress at Featherweight, who at the time had an impressive record of 14-2 – Nkosi earned a doctor stoppage victory after one full round, showcasing his true potential.

BRAVE CF 73 will be the third overall event the most global promotion in the world organizes in Colombia, the second in Bogota, as the organization renews its commitment to the Latin American MMA scene and remains the only global promotion to host events in Colombia.

Alongside Latin Fighter Championship and IMMAF, BRAVE CF will host the first edition of the BRAVE Pan-American Combat Week, between August 10 and 13.
