Bahrain officials participate in Asian Games conference

Bahrain’s Chef de Mission to the Hangzhou Asian Games, Ahmed Abdulghaffar, participated in a conference held for the upcoming Asiad, set to take place September 23 to October 8 in China.
Abdulghaffar was accompanied by Bahrain Olympic Committee photographer Ali Al Halwachi. At the gathering, all issues related to the running of the Games were discussed, including delegation arrivals, hotels, the athletes’ and media village, nutrition, transportation, the stadiums and other sporting facilities, the opening and closing ceremonies, among others.
The events during the Games will be held in 54 total facilities, with another 31 allocated for training. There will be smart cars without drivers to transport the athletes. All kinds of advanced technologies will also be used to serve the participants.
It was also announced that around 12,000 media professionals from all over the world are expected to cover the Games. The conference was followed by a series of field tours at the various sporting facilities and stadiums.
