Bahrain1 claim double victory in Canada meeting

Bahrain1 Racing claimed a fantastic double victory at the Doorwarz 11 event, held at Mission Raceway Park in the city of Mission, British Columbia, Canada.

Bahrain1’s Justin Bond and youngster Saeed Al Balooshi were both triumphant in their respective categories at the meeting, which featured action over four days down an eighthmile strip.

Bond was the winner in the West Coast Pro Modifieds, while Saeed took the victory in the Junior Lightning class.

Bahrain1 Racing is owned by His Majesty the King’s Personal Representative His Highness Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

Bond claimed his first Doorwarz title after defeating Jordan Lazic in the final run.

Bond powered his Bahrain1 Camaro to a dominant winning time of 3.736 seconds at 202.89mph, with an ultra-quick reaction time of 0.0142s. Lazic had a pass of 4.419s at 127.88mph, with a 0.0993 reaction time.

Earlier, in the semi-finals, Bond defeated Rian Hayward, while Lazic beat Bahrain1’s Khaled Al Balooshi.

Bond had also beaten Steve Horne in the second round of eliminations to set up his duel with Hayward.

Meanwhile, in the Junior Lightning final, Saeed defeated Ciel Gagnon in his final. Saeed had a finishing time of 7.999s at 80mph, with a 0.0421s reaction time.

In the previous elimination rounds, Saeed first defeated Lexi Winterbottom and then won against Abigail White to advance to the title-deciding round.
