Steve Diaper helps team win Black-Ball golf competition
Steve Diaper (46) led the charge to win Awali Golf Club’s Black Knight’s Black- Ball Competition, which featured 80 players.
The event was sponsored by seven of the club members. The ‘Black-Ball’ format is consists of three-member teams, with each player recording their individual Stableford scorecard. At every third hole, each player must play with the team’s black ball – the score for this is recorded both on that player’s individual scorecard and a team scorecard, where only black-ball results appear. However, a lost black ball means immediate elimination from the team contest.
The Black Knight’s caps were presented to all players by the Black Knights.
Captain Bill Scarth thanked Black Knights for their support of the club and gave special thanks to former Bahrain resident Roshni Khanna – a founding member of the Knights – who made a special trip back especially for this event.
Roshni presented the prizes to the top five overall individual winners, the team winners and runners-up, and the side prize-winners.
