Bahrain's Victorious rider, Wout Poels, won yesterday's 15th stage of the Tour de France. The Dutch ace completed the 179-kilometre leg in four hours, 40 minutes, and 45 seconds, crossing the finish line more than two minutes ahead of Jumbo-Vista’s Wout Van Aert.

Three minutes back, in third place, was Mathieu Burgaudeau. "I started to believe only in the last km, and I mean, I just had to keep fighting," said Poels following his win.

His Bahrain Victorious teammate, Mikel Landa, was also in the top 10, finishing in fifth place. Poels’s win was the second for Bahrain Victorious on this year’s Tour de France. Pello Bilbao had earlier taken the 167.5-kilometre 10th stage. Following yesterday’s results, Bilbao was seventh in the general classification, as defending champion Jonas Vingegaard kept the overall lead.

Bahrain Victorious also dropped to fourth on the teams’ rankings. Today is a rest day ahead of a potentially decisive individual time trial on Tuesday, which is followed by another Alpine stage on Wednesday.
