The bantamweight championship is on the line at BRAVE CF 73, but prior to that, we’ll see another tantalising clash at 135 pounds as Eduardo Mora goes head-to-head with Keron Bourne.

In a collision that many deem to be one of the most unpredictable on the card, Mora returns home to Bogota, Colombia, whereas Bourne will compete for BRAVE Combat Federation for the first time.

The two men are expected to feature on the main card in the Colombian capital, and it’s not hard to understand why. This is a tale of retribution, battling against the odds, and making a statement - which is all we need to tell us that this is going to be an insane fight.

Eduardo Mora’s path has been an uncomfortable one as of late, with his last three BRAVE outings ending in defeat. While he may have fallen at the feet of some big names in the division, a loss is a loss, and this could serve as Eduardo’s final chance to really announce his contendership to the BRAVE faithful.

On the flip side, Keron Bourne is a completely unknown entity. He’s undefeated in his professional mixed martial arts career, but after four years away from the spotlight, nobody knows what to expect.

Given how disciplined and determined he’s been from a young age, it seems safe to say that he’ll leave everything he’s got on the canvas. The sambo prowess of Mora is something he’ll look to lean on with the hope being that he can wear his opponent down and eventually gas him out.

As for Bourne, we’re talking about a man who has finished 71% of his victories - aka five of seven - by KO or TKO. If that isn’t enough of an incentive to stick around, nothing is. BRAVE CF 73 emanates live from Coliseum El Salitre on August 12.

Keron Bourne fights for his legacy at BRAVE CF 73

In just a few short weeks, Keron Bourne will return to the cage for the first time in four years. When he does, he’ll be going out there with a real point to prove.

‘The Natural Bourne Killer’ enters this contest with an unbeaten record in mixed martial arts, but also with plenty of sceptics. Between fans and pundits alike, there are plenty out there who wonder whether or not he has what it takes to overcome Eduardo Mora - especially in his own hometown of Bogota, Colombia.

Despite this, fans can’t imagine the veteran is going to come in with any trepidation. In fact, the doubts will likely fuel his fire as he goes in search of a win that’ll really put him on the map in BRAVE.

Bourne, 39, didn’t have an easy life growing up. He came from a single-parent household and lived with his mother and two older brothers, with his father living abroad. From the age of 11, Keron worked two jobs to assist with the family’s finances.

He washed cars before heading to school and worked in a grocery store when he returned, but at 16, tragedy struck when his mother passed away. Off the back of such hardships, Bourne knew that he had to step up.

It forced him into a position whereby he had to mature, be independent, and take charge of his life. Hard work, resilience, discipline. Those are three of the many words that can be used to describe Keron Bourne.

These traits became the foundation of his work ethic, and from that point on, he was determined to make it to the top. With a 7-0 record and a chip on his shoulder, he’s ready to announce himself to the bantamweight division.
