Bahrain win three medals in Arab table tennis

Bahrain came away with three medals in the recently concluded Arab Table Tennis Championship, held in Iraq. The girls’ squad comprising Maryam Al A’ali, Fatima Al A’ali, Phadke Amruta and Rayan Rashed captured the gold medal in the teams’ under-19 category.
They secured their title after defeating Egypt 3-2 in the final match. Meanwhile, the under-11 boys’ squad won the silver medals in their category. They were Sayed Nasser Alawi, Hassan Ebrahim and Sayed Ahmed Faisal.
The men’s team claimed the third medal: a bronze in their competition. The Bahrainis comprised Rashed Sanad, Elias Al Yasi and Sidmurtadha Hussain.
Bahrain Table Tennis Association vice-president and delegation head at the competition expressed his delight in the three medals, and praised the players’ efforts.
