On August 12 in Bogota, Colombia we will see Jose ‘Shorty’ Torres and Nkosi Ndebele scrap it out for the right to be called BRAVE bantamweight champion. The right to be called the king of 135 pounds is something that’s earned, not given.

Both men have put their blood, sweat and tears into the sport of mixed martial arts and with the world watching, they’ll attempt to finally climb to the top of the mountain. Torres is unbeaten in BRAVE with three wins and a draw, whereas Ndebele began his career in the promotion and has been able to put together a 6-1 record.

Between them, they’ve served as real pillars across the last five years. In preparation for the contest, both men have been giving their thoughts on what is bound to be an electric collision in the Colombian capital.

Torres said, “I’m not here to win, I’m here to dominate. This is a time where I need to let my ego show that I was a two-time world champ at IMMAF, that I should have won this belt years ago.

At a different weight class, I will show that I am one of the best in the world, and I’m going to do that.” “I can’t be nice and merciful. I can be nice at interviews, I can do this peacefully.

But, once I get in there, it’s 100% business. It’s a very rough business and I’ll show that.” Ndebele said, “I’m very, very excited. As much as people say he’s done this, I’m putting that all away.

Right now is my time and my era has begun. No one is going to stop me, and no one is going to stand in my way. So, if it has to happen that we fight each other, we’re going to fight each other.” “He’s a cool guy from what I’ve seen, but, this is the future that will become the present.”
