Bahrain’s women’s ICC cricket T20 team ready to fly to Malaysia

The Bahrain women’s cricket team is set to fly to Malaysia on Friday, August 25 to compete in the ICC Women’s Cricket T20 World Cup Qualifier.
The team will be looking to make history by qualifying for the World Cup for the first time.
The team was capped at a ceremony at the EPIX Cinema VIP premises in Manama yesterday.
The ceremony was attended by Mohammed Mansoor, the chairman of the Bahrain Cricket Federation’s (BCF) advisory board and representatives of the BCF.
“We should be proud of our women’s team and their sacrifice for promoting cricket in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
They have worked hard and they deserve to be here,” Mansoor said at the ceremony.
The Malaysian women’s qualifying rounds for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier will be held at the Kinrara Academy Oval in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The tournament will be played from August 23 to September 1, 2023. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super 6 stage, where they will play each other once.
The top four teams from the Super 6 stage will qualify for the World Cup.
