Marvin Kirchhofer first in Race One
Marvin Kirchhofer of Germany driving for ART Grand Prix came in first in Race One yesterday of the GP3 in a time of 37 minutes 11.554 seconds over 20 laps with an average speed of 174.4kph at the FIA WEC Bapco 6 Hours of Bahrain at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC).
The race is the 9th of 10 for the current and features 24 teams on the grid. Coming in second was Emil Bernstorf of Great Britain driving for Arden International (+1.546 seconds) behind and completing the podium places was the top placed driver from qualifying Esteban Ocon of France driving for Trident ((+0.756).
Fourth place was Luca Ghiotto (Ita, Trident, + 5.677), fifth Jimmy Eriksson (Swe, Koiranen GPm +10.417) and rounding off the top eight were Artur Janosz (Pol, Trident, +13.323), Jann Mardenborough (Gbr, Carlin, +13.843) and Alfonso Celis JR (Mex, ART Grand Prix, +16.288) in sixth, seventh and eighth places respectively.
