Bahrain joins hands to applaud HH Shaikh Nasser's extraordinary accomplishment in France

Congratulations poured in yesterday from all walks of life in the Kingdom for His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa on his victory in the 160-km race of the Monpazier Endurance Championship in France.
The resounding triumph not only underscored Shaikh Nasser’s exceptional equestrian skills and unwavering determination but also highlighted the Kingdom’s prowess on the international sporting stage.
HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and the Royal Endurance Team Captain, added this new milestone to his illustrious career just six months after claiming the World Endurance Championship in Abu Dhabi, riding the same horse, Darco La Majorie.
8 hours, 32 minutes
HH Shaikh Nasser won the race by clocking 8 hours, 32 minutes, and 50 seconds. Al-Hashim secured second place, finishing the race in 8 hours, 33 minutes, and 15 seconds.
Jockeys from numerous countries participated in the 160-kilometer race, including Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Algeria, France, Austria, Romania, Australia, Chinese Taipei, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland, the USA, and Colombia.
Following the victory, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, and Prime Minister, stated that HH Shaikh Nasser’s commitment to enhancing the Kingdom’s global horse racing standing is evident through his achievements that enrich the record of Bahraini sports.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasised that these successive endurance accomplishments have been achieved thanks to the unwavering support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club High Committee, praised HH Shaikh Nasser and the team for their determination and commitment to winning championships, and he wished them continued success.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad’s dedication, he said, is enhancing the Kingdom’s global horse racing standing.
Outstanding performance
Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, the Speaker of the Council of Representatives, attributed the victory to the fruitful outcomes of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s consistent support, along with the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, and Prime Minister.
“The outstanding performance of HH Shaikh Nasser’s and HH Shaikh Khalid’s children in the race is a result of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s continuous support for endurance sports in Bahrain,” said Ali bin Saleh AlSaleh, Chairman of the Shura Council.
Also extending congratulations to Shaikh Nasser were Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force, His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, the Vice-President of the Supreme Council for the Environment, Deputy Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club High Committee, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, the Special Representative of His Majesty the King, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Undersecretary of the Cabinet Affairs Ministry and Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, HH Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Advisor to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Royal Family members, top ranking officials, ministers and prominent citizens.
