Vandoome bags first place in GP2 race

Stoffel Vandoome of Belgium driving for ART Grand Prix came first in Race One yesterday in the GP2 in a time of 57 minutes 15.184 seconds over 32 laps with an average speed of 181.5 kph at the FIA WEC Bapco 6 Hours of Bahrain at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC). 

The race is the 10th of 11 for the current season and featured 24 cars on the grid from 12 teams with Japan’s Nobuharu Matsushita for the ART Grand Prix team (+13.526) taking second place, with the final podium going to Mitch Evans of New Zealand for the Russian Time team (+17.607), fourth to Rafaelle Marcielo from Italy driving for Trident (+20.494), and fifth to Sergey Sirotkin from Russia driving for Rapax (21.924), Sixth, seventh and eighth places went to start of race pole position leader Pierre Gasly (Fra, Davis,+22.621), Rio Haryanto,(Jpn, Campos)
