Fighting out of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eliezer Kubanza hasn’t been handed a single thing in his life. He’s had to scratch and claw in order to get to where he is today, and he’s ready to make a statement when he ventures to Nantes, France for BRAVE CF 74.
On September 7, he will go to war with Frenchman Levy Carriel in the main card opener. Both men will be walking into H Arena with an unbeaten record, but someone’s ‘0’ has got to go when the cage door shuts behind them.
Kubanza made his presence known back in June with a phenomenal debut knockout win over Rayan Atmani and it took him just 70 seconds to get the job done. While it may take a little longer if he secures the victory this time around, you can bet that he isn’t going in there for a decision.
In a recent interview, Eliezer laid out his plans for the future quite clearly, putting all other super welterweights in BRAVE Combat Federation on notice.
“I’ve been waiting, right? In Africa. I’ve been training so hard to get here. So, I’m not going to give you a chance to take food off of my table or to crush my dream to be the world champion in this organization. I will stop you. That’s it.”
Nobody knows what’s going to come next, especially in a sport as unpredictable as mixed martial arts. In the eyes of Eliezer Kubanza, though, he’s destined to become a world champion, and he won’t stop until he has the gold in his hands.
