Bahrain Royal Endurance Team crowned champions!

Supported by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Captain of the Royal Endurance Team, the team were officially crowned champions of the FEI Endurance World Championship for Young Riders and Juniors in the teams’ category yesterday in Castelsagrat, France.

The meet witnessed the participation of 70 riders of both genders and from various countries, and saw strong competition up to the final stages.

On the occasion, the FEI and the organising committee held a special ceremony to honour and crown the Royal Endurance Team as world champions in the teams’ category for young riders and juniors.

The team consisted of riders Isa Hameed Al Anzi and Hassan Al Rowaiee from Team Victorious, Sultan Abdulaziz Al Rumaihi and Jaber Badr Jaafar from Al Zaeem Team, and Hamad Ali Hassan from Al Nassr Team.

France and Italy came in second and third places, respectively, in the teams’ category. Meanwhile, Al Anzi was also awarded the bronze medal after coming third overall in the individual ranking. UAE riders were crowned in first and second spots.

The Royal Endurance Team added a new achievement with the team winning the award for the best horse shape in the championship, with Al Anzi’s horse Armin d’Artagnan winning first place for the best horse that finished the race in good health condition.

Apart from Bahrain, the UAE, France and Italy, riders also took part from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Tunisia, Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, China, Finland, Germany, Hungary, India, Mauritania, Malaysia, Poland, the Netherlands, Norway, Indonesia, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the USA.
