BREEF approves 2023/2024 endurance season programme

The Bahrain Royal Equestrian Endurance Federation (BREEF), under the presidency of HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, has approved the racing and championship programme for the new endurance season 2023/2024.
The Federation has begun its preparations for the new season, always striving to implement the directives of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Honourary President of BREEF, in order to achieve the utmost success for all the races of the upcoming season.
The new season will commence with the international and local qualifying races on October 13 and 14, 2023, featuring an international race of 100 km and local qualifying races of 40 km and 80 km will be held.
The second International qualifying race and local qualifying races will take place on November 2 and 4, 2023. They will include international races of 100 km and 120 km, as well as local qualifying races of 40 km and 80 km.
In December, specifically on December 8 and 9, the National Day Endurance Championship will take place. It will include international races, covering 100 km, 120 km, and 160 km, in addition to local qualifying races of 40 km and 80 km.
The HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Endurance Cup is scheduled for January 5 and 6, 2024. This prestigious cup will showcase an international race covering a distance of 100 km, an international race of 120 km, open to both international and local participants, and a challenging race of 160 km.
There will also be local qualifying races of 40 km and 80 km, providing opportunities for local riders to showcase their skills and compete at various levels. The eagerly awaited His Majesty the King’s Endurance Cup Festival is set to take place on February 16 and 17, 2024.
This prestigious event will bring together passionate equestrian enthusiasts to witness an extraordinary showcase of skill and determination. The Festival will feature a series of races, including a local race of 120 km for GCC private stables, an international race of 120 km for youth and juniors, an international race of 120 km for the general category, an international race of 160 km, and an international race of 100 km.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Endurance Cup will be held on March 8 and 9, 2024. This eagerly anticipated event will feature an international race of 100 km, an international/local (locals only) race of 120 km, an international race of 160 km, and local qualifying races of 40 km and 80 km.
The season will conclude with the organisation of the International Ramadan Qualifying Race and local qualifying races on March 29 and 30, 2024. It will include international races of 100 km and 120 km, a 160 km race, and local qualifying races of 40 km and 80 km
