HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad lauds solid Bahraini-Omani ties

His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), General Sports Authority (GSA) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President, has lauded the solid deep-rooted fraternal Bahraini-Omani relations across various fields, especially sport.

HH Shaikh Khalid was speaking while receiving Shaikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Zubair, Oman Olympic Committee President, and his accompanying delegation yesterday.

His Highness Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Deputy GSA Chairman, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Cabinet Affairs Undersecretary and BOC Deputy President, Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, GSA’s CEO and Fares Mustafa Al-Kooheji, BOC Secretary-General, were present.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad expressed his deepest pride in the strong relations between the two countries, under the leadership of His majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman.

HH Shaikh Khalid discussed with Shaikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Zubair ways to enhance cooperation between BOC and its Omani counterpart, through the exchange of expertise, to serve the Olympic movement in the two countries.

His Highness lauded the advanced level reached by the Bahraini-Omani relations, which resulted in attaining many joint achievements.

Oman Olympic Committee President expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to him and his accompanying delegation.

He praised the long-standing relations between the two countries, stressing the need to bolster bilateral sports cooperation.

He wished Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
