The Royal Team, represented by jockey Raed Mahmoud, triumphed at the annual Hungarian International Equestrian Festival, held in Hungary under the patronage of the Hungarian president and featured wide participation.

The Royal Team continued to make history through their consistent achievements abroad, as Mahmoud, a member of Victorious, wrote a new success story by winning first place at the festival.

The Bahraini jockey showcased an exceptional performance at the event, which included various equestrian competitions for amateurs, acrobatic shows on horseback, and speed races on a 300-metre track.

Participants crossed the finish line after completing four-and-a-half laps around the track, catering to different age groups.

Mahmoud shone from the initial qualifiers to the final round.

Following his win, he expressed his utmost delight, noting that this victory reflects the continuous support and follow-up from His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, who is keen on providing full support to the team.

It is worth noting that one jockey is selected from the qualified participants of each group to compete in the final day’s competitions.

On that last day, an international speed competition is organised, with invited countries being presented with horses to take part based on a draw conducted by the hosting country.

Royal Team manager Dr Khaled Ahmed Hassan headed the Bahraini delegation at the festival.
